Sternwheeler "Keno"
The sternwheeler "Keno" pushing the barge "Tookeno" near Mayo. Sternwheelers began to run on the upper Yukon in 1899 and were taken out of service permanently in 1955. The development of an all-weather road system in the Yukon Territory is directly linked to the demise of the riverboats. 1932.
