Log skyscrapers in Whitehorse. A favourite camera subject with tourists is this group of log buildings in downtown Whitehorse. The two and three story skyscrapers were built by Martin Berrigan in the early 1940s to ease the housing shortage in Whitehorse, when approximately 20,000 construction workers arrived to build the Alaska Highway. ca. 1970s.
