18th Engineers — Thirty Year Reunion bumper sticker, 1976. Anniversaries of the construction of the Alaska Highway have been the focus of reunions and celebrations. This has been the case for such landmarks as the 25th, 30th and 50th anniversaries. This bumper sticker promotes the 30 year reunion of the U.S. Army handover of the control and administration of the Alaska Highway to the Canadian Army in 1946. The U.S. Army’s 18th Engineers worked on the Alaska Highway northwest of Whitehorse towards Alaska.
