Unofficial views: Reverend Robert Ward
Reverend Robert Ward was a member of the Anglican Church in the Yukon from 1933-1946. During this time he served in the communities of Carmacks/Little Salmon, Fort Selkirk, and Teslin. He was particularly interested in the changing methods of transportation in the Yukon, and his films and photographs reflect this passion. At some point during construction of the Alaska Highway Mr. Ward also acted as an army chaplain. His collection of films, photographs and sound recordings was donated to Yukon Archives in 1977 and 1982. The following are a few film clips from his documentation of the Canol project.
